INTERNATIONAL ARCHITECTURAL CONTEST
Within the framework of the IXth FCAA Biennale Haïti 2015, the Federation of Caribbean Architects’ Associations (FCAA) jointly with the National Association of Engineers and Architects (CNIAH) invites Architects, Urban Planners and students in Architecture, and students from the Caribbean Region and from other countries to join an Architectural Contest. The theme of this IXth Biennale is “Public Spaces, Architecture in the City” and it will be held in Port-au-Prince, Haïti, from October 2nd to 3rd, 2015. The purpose of this contest is to show, assess and judge the diversity and on the quality and Urban Planning in the Caribbean over the last decade. The Participants in the Contest will be given broad media coverage, and their works will be displayed on October 2nd and 3rd 2015, at the Biennale ; their projects will also be showcased on the |
Biennial’s Website, on that of FCAA and of CNIAH, during six months, from October 2015 through March 2016. The Jury’s choice will be announced, and the winners revealed on October 3rd, 2015, at the Biennial’s closing ceremony.
Criteria for Eligibility
All Architects, architectural firms, Urban Planners, Urban Planning firms and students of Architecture are eligible to register for this Contest. Participants however shall register their projects for only one (1) category.
Registration
Candidates shall confirm their participation in the Contest by filling-out the registration form for the Biennial. The deadline for registration and submittal of the Project documents is September 18 2015 à midnight, local time, Haïti.
Registration fees are One hundred dollars (US$100) for professionals and thirty dollars ($30) for students.Only one (1) project corresponding to one (1) category may be submitted. Registration fees are payable by Internet, on the Biennial’s Website, and shall go towards printing the projects and organizing the exhibit.
